Job Description:
#POSITION STATEMENT:
-A Purchase Supervisor will be responsible for the overall administrative duties and functions of the Purchase Department.
#ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-As a Purchase Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
-To process all administrative functions relating to typing of purchase orders, filing, faxing and telecommunication.
-To liase/coordinate between the department, suppliers.
-To assist in overall project management with the core team of design, technical support services and procurement.
-To assist in Identifying best available suppliers and contractors.
-To create an inventory management system and monitor the same.
-To assist in the input of prices of products from selected suppliers into the system for the processing of orders and approved vendors list.
-To assist with daily market list processing and stores operations when required.
-Have a good understanding of the emergency procedures, security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation and ensure implementation.
-Maintain good relationship with your colleagues, supervisors and other department.
-Attend training and meetings when required.
