Job Description:
Position Summary:
The QA Analyst is responsible for verifying software quality by creating and executing plans. eCommerce
solutions should be tested in terms of functionality, browser compatibility, performance, reliability, stability
and compatibility with the up and downstream system with which it integrates. QA will make sure that testing
is well defined (manual vs automated), planned and executed, helping the BA team to gather requisites and
define Acceptance Criteria, and helping the development team to ensure that the User Stories are clear and
up to date in the ticketing system.
The QA analyst will communicate test status with the Project Manager and/or customers will work closely
with software developers to ensure that the features of the software solution are tested and that defects are
corrected before the product goes live.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Acceptance criteria definition.
● Retrieving, reviewing and analyzing data.
● Project manager support in sprint planning and control tasks.
● Participate in the project management and technical lead discussions.
● Estimate stories, task and test plans.
● Recommend and help to implement process improvements to the teams.
● Test plan design, execution and reporting.
● Development and execution of automated tests.
● Review logs and trace errors to identify software errors.
● Bug review and prioritizing.
● Write documentation about training and tests.
Key Skills and Competencies:
● Manual testing concepts.
● Good verbal and written communication in English
● Requirements verification and validation.
● Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
● Capable of clearly communicating complex issues to technical and non-technical personnel
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
● Agile work experience
● Concepts of defect reporting.
● Empathy and flexibility: It is necessary to know how to put yourself in the user's skin and its context.
● Observation and analysis. It is important to try to find the cause of the problem.
● Priority and severity analysis. It is important to understand the value of classifying defects and the
information necessary to do it.
● Team Work: QA Specialist should work as a team with developers and other stakeholders
● Basic knowledge of codeless SW test automation
