The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (MTS1) who will be responsible for analysis, design, and building data platforms that enable enterprise scale data movement. An ideal candidate for this role is someone with strong foundations in software development with expertise in leading engineers in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must interact with global cross-functional teams to address complex business requirements.

The role demands the individual to possess technical skills required to perform the job in an effective manner. The individual should be self-motivated, possess creative problem-solving skills and could handle multiple projects at the same time.
Your day to day
Participating and collaborating with Product Owner/Cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.
Working closely with Architecture team in designing solutions for Data integration and movement.
Creativity and out of the box thinking is required.
Proactively anticipating problems and keeping the team and management informed in a timely manner.
Being flexible and being able to support all functions of product life cycle when required.
Will be acting as tech lead and produce quality deliverables.
What do you need to bring-
9+ years of experience in the IT industry and 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering is mandatory.
Hands on in Programming proficiency in any programming language like Java, Python, Scala, C/ C++, and Shell/ Perl scripting experience.
Strong fundamentals of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Experience in Data Applications Design and Development
Proficient in Frameworks – Spring, Maven, Hibernate
Knowledge of Real time Analytics
Expert in software engineering tools and best practices
Expert in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability, and performance
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Proficient in Big data Environments –, Hadoop, Spark, Spark Streaming, Pig, Hive, MR
Experience in GCP Environment & tools – Spark Streaming, BigQuery, Bigtable, Spanner preferred.
