Job Description:
Responsible for sales of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities.
Volume and profit: Sells products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
Customer relations: Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Maintain cordial relations with channel partners to sustain the profitability of the business.
Sales plans: Prepares sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
Sales: Creates added value for the customer and Dodge and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Dodge offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
Evolve market segmentation & penetration strategies to achieve targets. Interface with clients for suggesting the most viable product & cultivating relations with them for securing repeat business. Manage activities pertaining to negotiating/ finalization of deals (techno commercial) for smooth execution of sales & order processing.
Marketing: Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Focused customer segment wise approach. Launching new applications/products as a part of marketing development effort.
New market opportunities: Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. Mapping the client’s requirements and providing them customized business solutions through new proposals, presentations, etc.
Administration: Manages administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
Offer preparation: Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
Post Sales: Monitoring post service activities like follow up with the customers, service reminders, warranty & post warranty issues and handling customer grievances for superior customer service. Assessing the customer feedback, evaluating areas of improvements & introducing improvements.
Challenges:
Develop new Channel Partners network in the regions.
Develop new direct serial and projects OEMs & Large end user accounts.
Promote the brand to generate market pull
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronic Engineering.
3 to 5 years’ experience in sales of the mechanical power transmission products
Fluent in English - written and verbal; Self-motivated
Result oriented, with ability to multitask & manage organizational complexity
Strong cross functional collaboration skills & experiences
Strong Technical skills in mechanical power transmission products.
Technical skills to include a hand on experience on sales on mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, pulleys and other PT components, products mainly used in heavy industries like Metals, Mining, Cement, Paper, Power, F&B etc
Computer skills:
MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Auto-CAD, SAP, Sales Force
