Job Description:
Deliver new or improved platforms/products that enable our product engineering teams to deliver customer value faster.
Support your team in making diligent architectural decisions
Scrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture choices we make in building the products. In many cases, you will be the decider of these decisions
Partner with product engineering, product, design, data and business leaders to shape team vision, direction and strategy
Own problems end-to-end cross-functionally
Enable your team to deliver cutting-edge solutions and achieve high levels of productivity, performance and reliability
Hire, mentor and coach senior and junior engineers and other engineering managers
Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow
Create a culture of experimentation and continuous feedback
Build and manage backend engineering teams and guide the development of services and infrastructure across both web and mobile
Qualifications
8+ years of total software engineering experience with a focus on building products and at least 5 years experience of leading teams
Experience in leading products and delivering high-quality features
In-depth understanding of microservice-based architecture, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and distributed systems
Experience in leading team(s) as a technical leader and mentor. Experience developing and supporting a team of engineers in their personal growth and career progression
